Stack & Profile |
ZigBee
Stack
|
ZigBee Stack has been developed by ZigBee alliance, non-profit
international organization, and defining and development works on
its application profiles have been also conducted to utilize its
technology in various application areas.
Network Layer : ensures the linking relation between devices, such
as mutual association between devices, data transmission and re-transmission,
various topology composition and etc
APS Layer : works as a linking path between high layer and network
layer, defines and saves binding information of neighbor linking
devices such as switch, light, dimmer and etc.
Application Layer: available to send and receive wireless information
of each device and control neighbor linking devices . |

ZigBee
Profile
|
This is serial standard protocol certified by ZigBee Alliance
to maintain development compatibility between different companies.
Home Network and Building Automation area is already defined and
profile for numerous areas are currently reviewed and under development.
There are clusters and attributes for ZigBee network in each profile,
and the different companies exchange mutually and receive service
by using these clusters and attributes.
HA (Home Automation) profile has request and response messages to
turn on and off lights. The types defined in these profile use common
value certified from ZigBee Alliance. |
